Dean H. Cherpelis, DDS

Dean H. Cherpelis, DDS, is a trusted dentist at Bell Family Dental PC in New York City. With more than 35 years of clinical experience, Dr. Cherpelis serves patients of all ages in the community of Bayside, Queens. Individuals and families trust him for a variety of dental care services, including general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry, as well as Invisalign.

A native of Whitestone, New York, Dr. Cherpelis earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Queens College, City University of New York in New York City. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Science from the State University of New York School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, New York.

Dr. Cherpelis strives to understand the most current advances in the field of dentistry and has completed an extensive amount of continuing education. He is certified in Invisalign® and oral conscious sedation. He holds fellowships in professional organizations such as the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.

As a deputy chief forensic dental consultant to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner – NYC, Dr. Cherpelis serves with the Special Operations Response Team in the information technology section. Dr. Cherpelis also served as a tour commander during the World Trade Center and Flight 587 recovery efforts following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Frank Pappas, DDS

Frank Pappas, DDS, is a skilled dentist at Bell Family Dental PC in New York City. In practice for more than 30 years, Dr. Pappas serves patients of all ages in the community of Bayside, Queens. Individuals and families trust him for an array of dental care services, ranging from general and cosmetic dentistry to Invisalign.

Born and raised in Bayside, Dr. Pappas graduated from Bayside High School before earning his undergraduate degree from New York University in New York City. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Science degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C., Dr. Pappas completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.

To remain up to date with the most current advances in the field of dentistry, Dr. Pappas has earned fellowships in a variety of professional organizations, including the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics, and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. He’s also a certified Invisalign® provider.

Dr. Pappas serves as a deputy chief forensic dental consultant to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner – NYC as director of postmortem morgue operations (dental division). He’s also an active member of the Special Operations Response Team, for which he acted as a supervisor during the World Trade Center attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
