What is Frank Pappas, DDS, FAGD’s background?

Frank Pappas earned his undergraduate degree from New York University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. He completed his postgraduate training at Jacobi Hospital/Montefiore Medical Center.

Frank Pappas’ ongoing professional development includes advanced implant training, a one-year implant training program through NYU/Brookdale Hospital, and extensive postgraduate study as dental techniques and materials have evolved. He is Invisalign certified and a Fellow of the AGD, an achievement earned by only 6% of dentists in the United States. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics.

What is Frank Pappas’s approach to patient care?

Frank Pappas believes that dental treatment should be based on the individual patient rather than simply on a diagnosis. Recognizing that people have different dental histories, concerns, financial considerations, and goals, he takes time to discuss conditions, explain appropriate treatment choices, and review their advantages and limitations—including longevity, maintenance, risks, cost, appearance, comfort, and function. An essential part of his approach is preserving natural teeth whenever reasonably possible through conservative treatments.

What is Frank Pappas passionate about in his practice?

Frank Pappas provides comprehensive general and restorative dentistry, including preventive care, tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, dental implants, implant-supported restorations, cosmetic dentistry, and Invisalign clear aligners.

For patients with multiple dental concerns, he helps organize care into manageable phases, beginning with urgent treatment and progressing toward long-term goals. Frank Pappas has a background in forensic dentistry, having served as a deputy chief forensic dental consultant to the NYC Office of Chief Medical Examiner and as a Tour Commander during the World Trade Center recovery effort after September 11, 2001.

What are Frank Pappas, DDS, FAGD’s professional memberships and affiliations?

He is a member of the ADA, AGD, and Queens County Dental Society, as well as a Past Vice President of the Hellenic Dental Society.

What are Frank Pappas’s professional goals and philosophy?

Frank Pappas aims to combine extensive clinical experience with active listening and clear communication. His goal is to give patients the necessary information to actively participate in decisions about their own treatment, working together to develop plans that support their oral health and personal goals over the long term.
